about

The tribal intro of this song is called "Birthrite"...we spelled it differently to specifically reference the title of the CD. We originally called this intro, "Big Bang" as our explosion is to represent the birth of a universe. "Whirlwind" was initially written about a failed relationship, but it became a song of humility. The minute you think you have it all figured out, the universe lets you know otherwise. We are all just floating in the arm of a spiral galaxy in a far off corner of the universe...what the Hell do we know anyway?

lyrics

WHIRLWIND

Thought I had the answers to it all
Found out I knew nothing after all

Come to believe
That nothing's what it seems to be
And everything I thought I knew
Remains a mystery
To me

Had the future under my control
Now I wonder where the Hell to go

So far away
From who it is I used to be
Holding on
To pieces of my
Old identity

Caught in the WHIRLWIND
Feels like I'm spinning
Caught in the WHIRLWIND
Feels like I'm falling
Down

So far away
From who it is I used to be
And everything I thought I knew
Remains a mystery
To me
