about

Everyone has to live with their OWN choices... and face their own consequences. This is one of the heaviest songs on the disc, both musically and lyrically. It's a slow grooving hook-laden tune about accepting people for who they are and learning to respect a contrary opinion. Technically the second track from the disc to get radio play, it was the first song to be played on the radio once the disc was released.

lyrics

TO EACH HIS OWN

Somebody once told me,
“Look before you leap in sorrow”
Someone else told me to,
“Jump right now, there's no tomorrow"

I don’t know why
Some of us fly
While others never seem to learn

Hey

So many opinions
Going opposite directions
Some drift out in limbo
Never reach
Their full potential
I don’t know why
Some of us die
Before we’re ever really old

To each his own
One man’s garbage
Is one man’s gold
One man’s failure
Is one man's hope
One man’s prison
Is one man’s home
We all live together
But we’ll die alone

Alone

Hey I don’t know why
Some of us cry
While others never seem to hurt

To each his own
Some stick it out
Some take the rope
Some hold on tightly
Some let it go
Some truly happy
Some miserable
We may live together
Still we'll die alone

Alone
