"Like a fine wine, I was saved for this moment" was a great way to introduce the theme of this CD without getting too lyrically involved. As soon as I wrote it, I knew this would be the first track.

I had a buddy who used to say, "I am the flower!"... and he was talking about himself. While I laughed at the notion that any MAN wants to be considered that, I understood what he meant. He wanted to be appreciated for his unique qualities and treated with the same respect usually given to a beautiful woman. Sound crazy? Well, not really. Being recognized and appreciated for your quality is essential to good living!

This song is for anyone who may be feeling past their prime. F that! Sexy is an attitude. Most of our greatest accomplishments came from older people who learned how to put their great ideas to use through many years of trial and error. I say that so long as you are still breathing, THIS moment is better than any moment in the PAST because that moment is OVER. The next one is just starting.

The distorted and phased rhythm and lead guitars are all done on the acoustic. I just ran through different amps with a very light overdrive setting. I also used an electronic looped beat throughout the song and had to manually stop and start it in a few spots to get it to match the arrangement. I preferred it over an organic beat to show an immediate change in the sound and production of this CD.
