I realize this song shares the same title with the famous "CSN&Y" song. I wrote it for a chain of Woodstock like venues (with the same title) that my cousin was involved in developing. I have yet to see these around my neck of the woods, but this song was written for the cause none the less.
lyrics
BACK TO THE GARDEN
Does it seem the world
Is growing colder?
Does it seem our lives are out of order?
Overwhelmed and underpaid
When did we become such slaves?
Where can we be free?
Where can we find peace?
Take me back to the garden
Take me back to the start
Take me back where time stood still
When we were young and free
Take me back to the garden
Doesn't seem like anybody's listening
Doesn't seem like anywhere is home
Can we sit together
Face to face
Turn off the world
Slow down the pace?
Where we can all be free
To sing in harmony
Take me back to the garden
Teach me how to love
Take me back to the start
Where we can live as one
Take me back where time stood still
When we were young and free
Teach me how to love
Yea, teach me how to love
Teach me how to love
Teach me how to love
Take me back to the garden
Teach me how to love
Take me back to the start
Where we can live as one
Take me back where time stood still
When we were young and free
Take me back
Take me back
To the
Garden
